Why I resist.

These words have as much relevance now as when they were written.  It is our duty to ourselves, our children and all of humanity to resist the imposition of law whose sole purpose is to supplant one sect over another in the name of arbitrary authority.  Freedom is under attack by those that intend to impose law based on an interpretation of religion draped in the flag of christianity.  FADA the First Amendment Defense Act seems benign enough, I intend to convince you otherwise.

The predecessor was dubbed Religious Freedom Restoration Acts or RFRA’s.  Many of these RFRA’s have been passed throughout the years in various states and at the Federal level.  The original intent of these laws was mostly symbolic insomuch as all they did was reaffirm a freedom of religion which was, and still is protected in the establishment clause of the first amendment.  Recent versions of RFRA’s have been nullified by courts or amended by legislatures for their blatent, specific discrimination towards the LGBT community.  Example’s are Indiana’s RFRA which made headlines due to outrage from the community and allies in the corperate world.   Mississippi had a RFRA that went so far as to grant doctors, nurses and health care providers the right to deny health care based on sincerly held religious convictions.  The courts thankfully slapped down that insidious law as well.  In Texas a bill has been introduced that would allow discrimination toward women based on the reproductive health care choices that they have made.  These are but just a few examples of the dozens of ratified and introduced bills every year in the name of discrimination disguised as evangelism.

Throughout history religion has been used to condone attrocities such as slavery, suppression of women and all too often the dehuminization of non theists.  The modern evangelical movement began circa 1970 as the moral majority whose mission was to oppose desegregation.  Christians mobilized in an effort to suppress a segment of society based on nothing more than their sincerely held belief that the races should not intermix.  Failing at a racist endeavor did not disparage them, the movement quickly pivoted to repressing womens rights in the workplace and more profitably opposing a womans right to her own body.  If you exclude the racism and took them at their word that their sincerely held beliefs were rooted in their faith, that might be believable.  The true colors of the so called moral majority showed during the opposition of President Jimmy Carter,  who was, and still is a man that seems to embody the true teachings of christ, who was and still is opposed by so called christians.

The moral majority became a political force within conservatism and started their transition to commercial political christians.  After the election of President Reagan four years later they entrenched themselves inside the administration,  they were able to suppress any federal funding to combat a viral outbreak that decimated communities by the thousands simply because it was deemed a “gay disease” and “those people are getting what they deserve”.  Minority children were contracting this disease at childbirth and still the administration of the moral majority did nothing.  Only after a straight white kid from Indiana contracted this disease from a blood transfusion did the evangelicals finally say the word AIDS.  Apparently heterosexual white lives are all that matter.

After the Reagan and Bush 41 administration the moral majority seemed to fade as a political force and thus rebranded themselves as the evangelical movement.  The movement held on to their basic belief that their Rockwellian version of America was under attack which they construed into christianity being under attack.  Enter the Marriage Equality debate, numerous organizations sprung up with significant political power and wealth within the conservative movement (later to be designated as hate groups by the SPLC).  The party of freedom and limited government became beholden to those that wish to impose negative rights on citizens based on the belief that since (my historical belief opposes many forms of equality, I must therefore oppose marriage equality based on my theistic dogma).

Before the birth of the moral majority in the early 1970’s no same sex couple had the audacity to apply for a marriage license.   One same sex couple did apply for a marriage license in Minnesota at that time, triggering an activist Judge to deny the right for same sex marriages, which was later upheld by an appellate court, these activist judges did not rule on law but on their version of morality.   The argument that activist judges somehow stripped christians of their rights is unfounded.  Their right to define marriage based on their biblical definition of marriage was enshrined into law totally destroying the seperation of church and state.   Enter the Obergfell decision of June 26, 2015 enshrining marriage equality.  The Supreme Court was not an activist court, they merely ruled in a narrow majority that the Fourteenth Amendment applied to this case insomuch as….

“All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside. No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws”  This is not activism this is Constitutionalism, those that opposed equality were the true activists Judges.   The Court ruled that denial of equal protection of the laws was unconstitutional.  The Fourteenth Amendment was written to enumerate the rights of African Americans at the end of the Civil War,  the rights of minorities being constantly under attack by those that oppose equality are enshrined into law thus ending the marriage equality debate.  Or so we thought, those that hate have a lot of influence and must direct their hate somewhere else, for if they stop hating, therefore they must  stop believing.   I wonder who those people may be?cropped-jocelyn_rainbow-2-1.jpg

A few weeks ago I wrote about the impending FADA executive order that is reportedly written and only needs the signature of one man to legalize discrimination in the name ironically of religious freedom.  The words freedom and religion should never collide in the same sentence unless used to illustrate how opposed they are.  Freedom is the power or right to act, speak or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint.  Religion paradoxically is the belief or faith in a supernatural controlling power, often times dictating an absurd list of shall nots.  Blind faith is inspired by a mythical being that drives this breed of evengelicals to demand the enshrinement of discrimination into law to somehow protect their personal belief that they are free to enact these so called laws of protection against those they dislike in order to protect their belief.   Is their belief so shallow that it cannot withstand any opposition?

As evangelicals have entered the political sphere the freedom to practice their faith in houses of worship and homes has become inadequate for commercial christians.  This new breed of zealots is using its political capital and considerable wealth to yet again dehumanize a marginalized minority.

A recent interview with Ken Blackwell at CPAC stated that “….the controversial Religious Freedom order that leaked to the press a few weeks ago is very much on the way….”  He went on to explain that the delay was in rewriting it so that it can withstand a legal challenge.  “In the final analysis, what we want is an executive order that will meet the scrutiny of the judicial process,” he explained. “If there is no executive order, that will disappoint [social conservatives]. But a good executive order will not. So we’re still in the process.”   Ken Blackwell was a senior fellow the Family Research Council a registered hate group, he was also head of the Trump transitional team ensuring that the right people were put in place to further the ideological agenda of commercial christians.  He later went on to confirm that the former director of Family Research Council’s Center for Religious Liberty, Ken Klukowski, was the one drafting the structure of the order.  One of Klukowski’s other endeavors is being a contributor to Breitbart the chosen site for White Nationalists like Richard Spencer who was also in attendance at CPAC.

According to Blackwell this version of the executive order could not withstand a judicial challenge. “ Section 1. Policy. The United States Constitution enshrines and protects the fundamental natural right to religious liberty. This Constitutional protection ensures that Americans and their religious organizations will not be coerced by the Federal Government into participating in activities that violate their consciences, and will remain free to express their viewpoints without suffering adverse treatment from the Federal Government. It shall be the policy of this Administration to protect religious freedom.”  With bated breath I await this updated version of discrimination that they feel will withstand the Fourteenth Amendment.  What they fail to understand is that an individuals freedom ends when it adversly affects anothers freedom.  My Freedom is independent to any sincerely held belief of another, one that seeks to dehumanize, humiliate and discriminate in the name of any mythical being.

I do not write this on Transgender rights as I believe that the larger threat is the claim that extra rights (to discriminate) should be enshrined into law for the Evangelicals of this nation.  As always we will persist, we will win and, finally shall achieve true equality.




He doesn’t have the balls to do it.


The National Prayer Breakfast is a yearly event held on the first Thursday of February each year In Washington.  This Year it falls on February 2nd, oddly coinciding with groundhog day, let that sink in for a moment.  I wonder who will show up for such an event, possibly Tony Perkins, Tim Wildmon,or Mat Staver?  All three of these white men are leaders of hate groups as specified by the SPLC.  Respectively they lead the Family Research Council, The American Family Association and the Liberty Council.  I can hardly wait to see what the compassionate christians come up with next to make our secular nation a better place.

Rumors circulated earlier this week that President Trump would repeal an executive order by President Obama that gave a growing segment of society some basic rights that are enjoyed by my white christian heterosexual counterparts.  For those of you that do not know, this EO granted roughly 20% of society some basic rights.  The EO goes as thus,  the federal government or any organizition that has federal contracts must not discriminate against anyone seeking employment, housing or services from said organizations based on sexual orientation or gender identity.  This horrific EO resulted in all holy hell breaking loose.  Evangelicals everywhere voted overwhelmingly for President Trump in hopes of getting this and other basic rights that those of privilige hold dear overturned for others.  In the closing days of the campaign (then) Mr. Trump made statements often in the form of questions referring to overturning all of President Obama’s EO’s resulting in tumultuous cheers and donations from those who revel in a history of repressing women, minorities and basically anyone that is not like them.

Struggling with rumors and unfounded conclusions, I draw the conclusion that my opinion is justified.  This week set up the perfect storm for the revocation of the rights of American Citizens.  Until now President Trump has enraged his opponents by acting on “dog whistle” issues that the moral majority hold dear without actually affecting the rights of Americans. I have the sense that he is throwing things at the wall to see what sticks.  He has went after a religious sect by temporarily banning travel from seven countries that do not worship the same messiah as the moral majority.  He has reinstituted the so called Gag rule referring to the banning of tax payer money being spent on womens reproductive rights in foreign countries.  While enraging liberals in this shock attack on human rights i feel the worst is yet to come.

This week the White House refuted rumors that the Executive Order would be overturned, while sceptical I was cautiously optimistic that the President did not have the intestinal fortitude to attack LGBT Americans, many of us fought for the right for evangelicals to hate us.  I was aware of the impending prayer breakfast knowing full well that it was a prime opportunity for those that peddle hate disguised as religion to call in their IOU’s for delivering the evangelical vote.  Looking at the events of this week I am growing more convinced that there will be an assault on civil rights in mere hours.

1.White House denies revocation of President Obama’s executive order repeatedly as if they are hiding something.

2.Prayer Breakfast scheduled for Thursday, many LGBT rights opponents will be in attendance.

3.Presidential staff bragging about keeping his promises.

4.President Trump originally planned to sneak off to a Harley Davidson plant in Milwaukee to sign more edicts on Thursday immediately after the breakfast (possibly to alter the news cycle) essentially giving the media something else to focus on.

5.The President retreating to his Estate in Florida immediately after the Executive Orders of the day, ostensibly to take a break, (hide from the media) and leave his staff to clean up the mess.

6. Rumors of something brewing on the Civil Rights front from unnamed sources within the White House.

Seeing the confluence of these independent, but related tidbits made my hair stand up.  We know the agenda but we have to remain non bias so as to not jump to conclusions despite the distrust that we have in this administration.   Yesterday an investigative reporter that seems credulous wrote a piece for another credulous publication that exposed a draft of a “Religious Freedom” Executive Order obtained from the White House.  The draft explicitly says that,

Thank you for your vote evangelicals consider the debt paid.  Those that have privilige will not recognize that this order, if signed not only legalizes discrimination, it encourages it.  The phrase “consciences” is terrifying, the ramifications of such an order are unimaginable.

This was written hastily and I could be wrong (I hope I am).  The anger from the right is so vile that they want retribution for marriage equality, I for one think that they will stop at nothing.  The breakfast is a couple hours from now, watching with bated breath and cherishing my civil rights that may be revoked soon.




Does President Trump want to ban White Canadians from entering the country?

cropped-jocelyn_rainbow-2-1.jpgThis may seem like a silly rant, but since I have not written in some time I thought I would give my alternative opinion on something.  As we know a hate crime occured in Quebec, which obligates me to offer something to the victims.  My offering will not be of prayers.  Instead it is a humane expression of condolence that some jackass can be filled with so much hate that he murdered six people while wounding another nineteen.  Writing this I can find no other reason for this madness except raging hatred against a sect or class.  While I do not know the motives I shall unequivocally assume that hate was the motive.

Now for some thoughts about the briefing in the press room at the White House today.   Initially it was reported that a Morrocan man was arrested in connection to the murders, he was later released while a white male was arrested and subsequently charged.  The news cycle started with the Muslim being arrested which resulted in people’s reactions that coincide with their ideologies.  This was no more evident than at the press briefing today,  I will give the administration the benefit of the doubt that the initial reports seemed to validate their ban on refugees and immigrants from seven nations.  The statement appeared to be written from an ideology that banning muslims is a good thing for national security because (they even murder their own).  My personal belief is that after the statement was written and before the statement was given that the details of the real perpetrator were known.  Hence an odd statement from Sean Spicer.

Why would a President who claims to be christian offer prayers to muslim victims and their families?  Are these two abrahamic cults not diametrically opposed to one another?  Is he mereley speaking out of the side of his mouth and offering lip service like a Russian prostitute?  The obligatory statement that must be made is abstract since it has not been proven that prayers do any good except for the psychological affirmation that one is doing something while doing nothing at all.  I will not dwell on the the absurdity of how praying to your imaginary friend somehow helps someone that believes in a different imaginary friend.  Kinda like a Voodoo Priest praying for me.

An ascertation was made that this senseless crime in Quebec somehow validates the executive order banning immigrants, green card holders and those with valid travel visas from seven countries that do not have trump properties is good for national security.  Before you grab the pitchforks and torches let me state that I do realize that per the inadmissible alien clause of U.S. code the President’s Executive Order is legal.  Furthermore there is precedent for singling out these seven countries because of Law that was signed by President Obama.

Defending the Executive Order Spicer said. He later continued: “It’s a terrible reminder of why we must remain vigilant and why the president is taking steps to be proactive instead of reactive when it comes to our nation’s safety and security.”  How do we decide who gets banned from entering the country?  White men? Trump supporters? Canadiens? conservatives?  Or do we stereotype seven countries that are majority muslim while omitting Saudi Arabia the home of fifteen of the nineteen hijackers on 9/11.  This is not about safety, this is about fulfilling a campaign promise to “your base”.  Why were Saudi’s not included?  Not saying that anyone should be,  but one wonders why they were omitted.  Maybe because they hold the keys to the current root of all evil OIL?

The intent of this short op ed long is how on this round earth can a crime committed by a white, anti-feminist, anti-foreigner, Canadian National that reportedly believe’s in the ideology of Trump/Marine Le Pen somehow bolster the restriction of immigration of people from seven nations? If this murderer was an American he would be referred to as “the conservative base” in a Presidential Campaign due to his beliefs and not because of his subsequent actions.  Once again I have to clarify so someone doesn’t accuse me of saying that racist, bigoted, hate crime offenders are conservatives.




WTF? 1 of……… I Am Truly Becoming Scared.


Am I terrified because I am A Transgender Woman?  NO I AM NOT.  What i am afraid of is some enraged zealot assaulting or murdering someone that they believe is Transgender.    I have not been this terrified since I first started transitioning.  This should not be the case once you assimilate into society as female.  Those fears should go away, but they are rearing their ugly head again.  Does any segment of society have a right to instill fear into another?  NO THEY DO NOT. The “immoral majority” has waged an all out war on Trans Women, in the name of privacy and so called “religious freedom”.  They have grasped onto this issue of Trans women and bathroom usage as the tip of their poison laden spear to reinstate christian dominance into the fabric of this nation.

Riddle me this, how does sending men into a Womens restroom protect women?   Is that not what they are afraid of?  That is something that scares me.  Especially men with deeply held religious convictions.  Their argument is that “we don’t want men in womens restrooms”.  This campaign to demonize Trans people is reaching a fevered pitch.  A segment of society is so riled up by this issue that, somehow they believe that it’s ok for them to police restrooms.

This is but one example of one group waging a war against another.  The AFA has gotten over a million peoople to sign a petition to boycott Target.  Their rhetoric resonates with a citizenry that feels repressed by a so called liberal agenda.  A cursery look at the demographics of American Family Association’s members is quite frighteneing.  They tend to be extremely conservative firearm owning white southerners.  What could possibly go wrong when group that believes that they are being oppressed for their religious beliefs gets mobilized?  Recent history shows us that type of belief system leads to violence,  be it the bombing of Womens Health Clinics, The Charleston Church shooting or just simple everyday Assault and Murder.   The FBI keeps track of such things. Their data shows that of all reported hate crimes,


  • 19.2 percent were targeted because of a bias against a particular sexual orientation.
  • 18.7 percent were victimized because of a bias against a religious belief.


Based on these numbers my trepidation is not imagined.  When you fan the flames of bigotry and intolerance you get this.  A man rushing into a women’s restroom because he believed that a man was in there.  Huh???  Yes there was you idiot, it was you.

I wrote about an incident in a previous blog of a woman being escorted out of a restroom by male police officers for having the audacity to not have her ID on her and not conforming to a christian opinion of how women should dress.

This rhetoric that instills fear about Transgender people has even reached the lips of Presidential candidates.  The right will stop at nothing to demonize Trans people, for them, no lie is to big to tell.  Ted Cruz went so far as to try to allege that a psychopath who shot up a planned parenthood was Trans.   Cruz said “It’s also been reported that he was registered as an independent and a woman and transgendered leftist activist, if that’s what he is.”  When the evidence shows that the alleged shooter was enraged by a story accusing Planned Parenthood of selling baby parts.  A story the right told over and over to whomever that would listen. The story was later debunked and the originators of the story were eventually charged with crimes stemming from their accusations against Planned Parenthood.

Cruz later recanted that accusation but once you put a notion into someone’s mind it has a tendancy to remain there.  Does the Right have blood on their hands?  YES THEY DO.  Do they feel remorse for enraging someone so much that he committed murder?  No they do not.  Instead they walk away tsk tsking, clutching their pearls or with merely a shrug of their shoulders.  Accusations do have consequences especially unfounded heinous ones.  Below is an actual list of all the Transgender Women that have assaulted someone in a restroom.



That is the complete list, the perfect illustration of how unfounded their fears are.

What is the christian right’s obsession’s with genetalia??? I am at a loss to understand how a sexually repressed religion whose very own book of myths which endorses a “rape culture” even has a say in matters of Womens Rights.  What do they think goes on in a women’s room?  To quote Megyn Kelly a Fox News Rockstar,

“I’ve been in women’s bathrooms my whole life. We don’t have the urinal situation.We got the stalls. We get to go in, we do our business, and like it’s not – we don’t see each other. So why are you concerned about young girls exposing themselves or seeing somebody else exposed in a women’s bathroom?”

Another right wing idol, Chris Mathews stated that they (meaning Fox News) could not find a single incident of a Transgender person assaulting someone in a restroom.  But yet the ‘immoral majority’ persist’s in their claims that “these laws open the door for someone to claim that they are a transgender to commit a crime”  The rationale for this is that criminals will obey the laws that ban trans women from bathrooms and not commit a crime {insert face palm here}.  Odd that they do not use the same rationale about gun laws.

I am going to run with this as is, I may update it later, I have been working on this for two days between WPATH appointments.  I close with the fear that we will lose more sisters because of societies willingness to oppress a group of people that they do not even know.  I will raise a candle for you, or you may raise one for me on November 20th this year.  As we go about our daily lives we never know when our last day may be.  This life is fragile and we can be murdered at any time for no other reason than existing.   If that day may come I will still proudly be a Transgender Woman.  Hate only inspires me to continue living with my head up and shoulders back. This authentic life is mine, prejudices and lies cannot take that away.

The Moral Majority Is Going To Get Someone Killed.


Simple Definition of fear

Christian Conservatives have launched an all out attack on Transgender Women.  This is nothing more than a fear based campaign to create a wedge issue.  The success of their racist “Southern Strategy”  has fueled yet another fear based strategy to divide an electorate.  The numbers of Racists must be dwindling or else why would they make up so many lies about less than half a percent of the population?
The answer is simple, Republicans need a Super Majority of whites to win elections, their message does not resonate with the poor, women, immigrants or blue collar workers.  How do they garner votes amongst these groups?  Get people to vote against their own best interests.  Create a boogeyman as they have done in the past.  Get those that are oppressed by the republican platform to become single issue voters.  Be it Racism in the past or fear of another religion more recently.  They have to instill fear in an uneducated electorate against something, to get them to vote for Tax Breaks for Banks, Corporation’s and crony capitalism.  Who is left to demonize to get people to vote against their own self interests?  The most oppressed minority of all Trans Women of course.

Instead of investing a gratuitous amount of time and energy trying to make someone fear something new, it may be time better spent to relapse an old phobia or expand on those that already have foundations laid by our cultural indoctrinations.”
These “cultural indoctrinations” may simply be “gender defenders”  trying to protect the most basic tenet of their religion.  That being; men and women were created by god and he makes no mistakes.  If you endanger this basic tenet of the bible and make people question the entire validity of the bible then be prepared for a literal unleashing of hell upon yourself.  This in my opinion is what is happening with this sudden onslaught of these “bathroom bills”.  They not only have to preserve the story of talking snakes and incest in Genesis, but they have the ever present need to have a President with an “R” behind his name in the White House.   They will stop at nothing to achieve the former and to achieve the latter as well, including sacrificing lives.
I believe the gender defenders are complicit, and encouraging and fueling the animosity for Trans Women by this campaign to create a boogeyman in hopes for a political victory.  This onslaught of media attention against .3% of the population has painted targets (pun intended) on our backs.  Should a tomboy be afraid to pee in a public restroom,  should someone that does not comply with a christian’s standard of attire be afraid to pee?   Should I?  Should You?
Ok kids let’s break this down.  By his appearance and speech he would not statistically be  a conservative voter, has he become a one issue voter?  It would seem so.  I know nothing of this man, I am only using statistical analysis.   Because of my affinity for my hometown of Dallas (yes that is Jocelyn’s home) this article was a dugger into the heart of Texas.  This man chased a woman into a restroom because he was worried that a man might be in a women’s restroom?  Ummm, yes there is, and it is you!  I realize that you believe you are one of the good ones,  and you are safe because you would never assault anyone (we don’t know that).  But yet you chased down a born and bred female because of what she was wearing???  She was there with broken fingers, wearing gym attire, is that a reason for a strange man to chase her into a restroom??  No it is not!  Maybe since she was wearing basketball shorts she might have actually been playing basketball?  Should we tell our daughters that if they get injured playing basketball that they need to put on a dress before going to the hospital?  It is always about the kids or so I am told.
What if this man had a firearm?  What if he was a drunk single issue redneck?  He may very well rush into a Piggly Wiggly restroom with a gun and shoot a female because she had the audacity to wear pants, cut her hair short and shun makeup. Statistically speaking this “self appointed bathroom cop”  would have a better chance of killing a sexual predator if he rushed in and murdered someone he just thought was a conservative Politician.
This campaign of fear against Transgender Women has reached a fever pitch.  Could I be killed because of something that a conservative group accused me of?  Yes I could.  This is the next cultural war, would we question fixing a birth defect of to many toes?  No we would not!  Being Transgender is merely fixing a birth defect, was I born with too many toes?  No I was not.  My horror was much worse.  Self rightous gender defenders want to refuse me the right to fix my birth defect. Because somehow their need to defend gender and what is written on a birth certificate supercedes my Right To Life Liberty And the Pursuit of Happiness.
Please stop inciting people to look for this illusive trans person in a bathroom.  You are only going to get someone killed.

All, too, will bear in mind this sacred principle, that though the will of the majority is in all cases to prevail, that will, to be rightful, must be reasonable; that the minority possess their equal rights, which equal laws must protect, and to violate would be oppression.

Is the Next Election Going To BE About Who Pee’s Where?


The only thing I hear about in the news seems to be about bathrooms and who can pee where. Maybe I just live in a Trans bubble, does any one talk about taxes, national debt or endless wars for profit anymore? I sincerely hope they are, but I am not really seeing it.  Is this country going to be divided about this? In one of the most heated issues of this election cycle I believe it will be. In what appears to be a shot across the bow to LGBT Rights, the Armed Forces Subcommittee voted to tag a provision into the 2017 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The HRC wrote that, “Rep. Russell’s harmful amendment would strip away existing protections for LGBT workers by undermining President Obama’s executive order on LGBT non-discrimination protections in federal contracting,” said HRC Government Affairs Director David Stacy.  I tried to find the actual wording of the Amendment but at this time I could not. If I find it I will leave it in the comments section below. Taking the HRC at it’s word and knowing that it is entirely feasible that a Congressman from Choctaw OK. would be be ok with discrimination I am going to present this as truth.


Since this is my monday I shall be brief in the hopes that “Clarity of thought is a must for brevity in speech.” It is this writers belief that this amendment will stand as is into the NDAA, which will pass the Republican House easily as all Republicans are up for reelection and don’t want to disappoint their Christian Base.  I also contend it will pass the Senate for similar reasons.  What Politician can “vote against the troops” regardless of what minor amendments are in the Act.  When and and if this passes in the present form The President will be forced to either sign as is or veto it.  Neither is a palatable choice.  If this passes and removes federal protections for LGBT troops it may in effect start the dismantling of Title IX which is what the current administration bases its LGBT protections on.   Bearing in mind that the next President, if republican could do so anyway with the stroke of a pen.  Perilous times for the LGBT community especially the T will continue, be prepared for the commercials of “Men in Dresses” filling your TV screens this fall.



It won’t be too much of an exaggeration for a false flag attack to occur.  What if a conservative group decided to get some right wing nut job to enter a womens restroom and terrorize young girls at a swimming pool?  Could this of happened already?  Could the Family Policy Instititute of Washington have had a premonition about such things?



Assimilation Into Society And How Women relate To Me As The Same Gender


Once upon a time not to long ago I asked myself a question.  Where am I in my transition?  I came to the conclusion that I am not transitioning anymore, I have transitioned.  A conclusion supported by something a well meaning co worker told me recently.  He told me “you are not transgender anymore”  meaning that he relates to me as female and as someone that was never the same gender as him. One persons opinion does not make a transition complete, how we interact within society does. To cofirm this conclusion I asked myself two questions, how do women relate to me?  They relate to me as the same gender as them.  How do men relate to me?  As someone that is a different gender than they are.  Are we as a group seeking congruency?  Yes we are.  Assimilation is the key to our mere existence, if we do not assimilate into a binary world as the gender that chose us, how can we exist in a world that wants to legislate us off a cliff?

Descriptions of my assimilation, I work in a male dominated world, there are 200 hundred mechanics here in PHX.   Six of us are female,  it is a rough and tumble world that we live in.  As females we all live in a male dominated world, a world that is riddled with sexism and mysogyny.  How do Transegender Women fit into that world?  We have an odd perspective that our female friends truly are curious about.  We once had a boy’s club card.  As Transgender Women that card has been ripped from us.  That card has been replaced by the Living Our Authentic Lives Card.

How does one assimilate into a gender binary that is not only on the other side of the street, but on the other side of the planet?  When you notice that you are losing male privilige it has already been revoked and you are the last to know.  Do you have to struggle to have your opinion heard?  If it is heard is it even considered?  Losing your man card means that you have to be more ascertive just to be considered somewhat equal amongst your male peers.  Being taken seriously before was something that was taken for granted.  That is just one example of daily life as female.  When that happened to me I had to learn what female privilige is to complete this transition.

When did this authentic life begin?  I place the date at 3 years ago in my mind.  When did society start to relate to me as female?  sometime in the last two years I think.  My friends could answer that question better than I.  Most definately Government recognized me as female over a year ago.  Assimilation did come naturally, but small things seemed to trip me up at first.  Subtle things that I did not notice before transition.  I use the term “female Privilige” to describe how this big scary world relates to me.  The first time I noticed one of those subtle things was back in Dallas.  I was on my way to work, and since I work as an aircraft mechanic I wasn’t dressed very girly although I can girl the uniform up with the best of them.  I stopped at a convienence store to grab a couple items on my way to work.  Like most stores it had double doors, there was a man standing on the inside holding the door open.  Not your stereotypical chivalrous action since most often the person is on the outside holding the door open.  I did not realize that this man was holding the door for me, like I said it was kind of an odd door encounter and I opened the other door and walked through.  I caught myself and stopped and thanked the gentleman and told him I did not realize that he was waiting for me.  That was a coming out epiphany for me.  There are many more instances this was just me tipping my toe into a very complicated issue and a difficult one to write about coherently.

Losing Male privilege and other first world problems.

Soo, I am in the process of having some procedures done and one of the Warpath requirements to have said enhancment’s done is to go see a mental health professional.  Those of you that know me are probably thinking “it’s about damn time”.   One of the things she wanted me to do was to write a journal,  so here goes.  This is soooo not going to end well. ;-P.

In contemplating about what to write in this journal, I found that this life has given me every opportunity to write endlessly about the goofiness of my every day life as a transgender woman.  Living my authentic life as female gives me great influence over silly boys.  An excellent example of this is me eating two bananas for breakfast last night at work.  At first I was being a good girl and breaking it into pieces,  but I unconsciously started eating it as it was meant to be eaten.  Huge mistake, I looked up and three guys were staring at me.  The little red guy on my right wing shoulder was saying “put on a show”,  the guy dressed in white on my left wing was telling me “don’t put that thing in your mouth”.  Exit stage left with my breakfast.

Walking away finishing breakfast I was reminded that male privilege is real and that I gave that up willingly.  Before I transitioned I could eat a banana without any one staring.  Now that I am female It has become something that I have to think about.  How misogynist is society that I have to be concerned about how I eat a fruit?  This journey has showed me that I do have to realize that accepting female privilege does have it’s own issues. If I go to lunch with a coworker I have to have another coworker there or else it is construed as I am sleeping with said lunch mate.  Before I was female I could go to lunch with whomever I chose. Now I have to worry about the damage to my reputation that can occur, and the damage to the reputation of the friend  who invited me to lunch.

Losing male privilege is real, but embracing and gaining female privilege is a much better alternative for those of us that are Trans. This blog is about Male Privilege and about how women cannot eat a banana or a burrito without dudes makng innuendos.  I just want to eat a banana why does it have to be be a thing?



What would prevent me from saying “I feel like a cop today”?

cropped-jocelyn_rainbow-2-1.jpgThere were male police officers invading the sanctity of feminity, they threw a Woman out of a restroom for not having an ID.  Remind me again of the constitutioinal requirement to carry a government issued ID. Oh wait you can’t since it doesn’t exist.

As we see these men in the womens restroom I became curious.  How do we know that rapists and pedophiles will not dress up as men to take advantage of a law that allows men to patrol a womens restroom?  All you need to do is buy a badge and a gun and claim that you are law enforcement.  These bathroom laws merely open the door for ill intentioned people to rape our daughters and wives while they pee.  I know a few cops and not all are bad, but we should repeal these bathroom laws on the off chance that some guy with a badge pretending to be a cop could take advantage of it.  Mic Drop and walks away.

As I sit here in my eloctrologist’s office contemplating the sheer pain that awaits, I had a thought. There is no pretending to be Transgender Sir, either you are, or you are not.  This is not something that can be turned on and off.  Those of us that were born with a birth defect cannot even compare to those of you that think we all were born in sin.  As someone that was born I have no idea how I sinned at that point in my life, but if christitianity wants to heap that on me,  I reserve the right to fight back.And fight back I shall.  Calling me a sinner at birth makes about as much sense as insinuating that I am only “throwing on a dress” to perv on ugly christian women and their bratty kids.


Being Transgender can be a battle in a cultural war. That war with society could mean life or death, Rest In Power to our fallen brothers and sisters.  I am well aware that that I can be murdered tomorrow for living my authenthinc life.  This life chose me,  I accepted and embraced it because; well, I can. this is my life.  My natural rights enshrined in the constitution ensure those rights to Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness. If i want to live fast and die hard that is my right. It isn’t about what some book of myths says, It is about the battle that we all face living our authentic lives.  A battle in a war that is perpetuated by a group of so called Christians.  Christians are ready to be on the wrong side of history yet again.  Those that oppose your centuries of oppression shall fight you till the end of time. Oppression in the name arbitary beliefs born of darkened times and fearful minds shall be defeated.  What shall not bend must break.


I support everyones right to religion of their choice, any sincerely held religious beliefs do not trump (no pun intended) my natural rights.  North Carolina, Mississippi and others are testing the waters once again to enshrine the right to discriminate.  They now cry that they are discriminated against by those that oppose their ill conceived notion to push Gays back into the closet and push those that are Transgender over the cliff.
